Xiaomi 12 Ultra will receive a Leica camera

Cool Technology News

Xiaomi is preparing to introduce a new flagship smartphone with advanced photo and video functions. In 2022, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be announced, and its basic version is the Xiaomi 12 already in December 2021.

Information about the advanced version of the device is already there. It was visualized by graphic designer Technizo Concept (for the profile resource LetsGoDigital).

The new flagship from Xiaomi will look like this:

It is reported that Xiaomi 12 Ultra, as well as Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, will receive a second display. It will be located on the back of the device, next to the main camera unit.

Such a solution will allow you to take a selfie or shoot a blog on the main camera of the smartphone and at the same time monitor the image. The second display will help you keep track of time, battery status, incoming calls and messages.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra will receive three main camera modules (with a high degree of probability. The main module will have a resolution of 108 megapixels). They will be arranged vertically in one row. In addition to the wide-angle camera, the published renders show the ultra-wide-angle camera and telephoto lens.

Next to the ultra-wide-angle module is the Leica logo. Slightly above it is the LED flash. Below it is the 120x designation (zoom capability).

The body has a volume rocker, a power button, a USB Type-C port and speakers with the Harman Kardon logo.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra will receive an embedded front camera, which will be located in the center at the top of the display. Its permission has not yet been disclosed.

Cooperation with Leica

For Xiaomi, cooperation with Leica could become a precedent. Previously, the manufacturer did not involve professional companies in the field of photographic equipment in the development of smartphone cameras.

Earlier, one of the sources already reported that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra smartphone will be the first device from Xiaomi with Leica optics.

In August 2021, Xiaomi introduced its first smartphone with a sub-screen front camera. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 has been announced . The camera is located under a display (OLED) with a diagonal of 6.67 inches Full HD + (2400×1080 pixels), with Gorilla Glass Victus, an image refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The announcement of smartphones from Samsung is also expected. The Galaxy S22 lineup will be unveiled in early 2022.
